Prunus avium, commonly known as the sweet cherry or wild cherry, is a deciduous tree. The leaves are dark green, oval-shaped, and have serrated edges. They provide a beautiful backdrop for the tree's spring blossoms. Producing clusters of fragrant, white or pinkish-white flowers in early spring, making them an attractive addition to gardens and orchards. After flowering it produces sweet cherries, which are typically red to dark red when ripe. The fruit has a sweet, juicy flesh and a single large pit. The fruit is an important source of food for birds and small mammals.

Using bareroot specimens is a cost-effective alternative to pot grown plants and allows the plants to establish their root systems before the growing season starts.

This is a BARE ROOT plant which can be planted during dormant months, usually November until March. Dispatch date varies from year to year as plant can only be lifted when dormant. This plant has exposed roots and must be planted once received.

Maximum Height: 15-30m dependent on location
